I had my favourite meal in Sydney at The Glenmore Hotel. It didn’t just stop at great food and drinks though, the views from their rooftop patio are some of the best in Sydney.
If you can get a spot on their rooftop patio, especially in the evening, you are lucky. You can see the Sydney Opera House from here after the cruise ship moves. This almost century old building has three levels and serves food and drink on all of them.
Its common practice to have to order food and drink at the counter in Australia. After you receive menus, the server does not come back to the table for your order for your food or drink orders. This dark and stormy cocktail was perfect.
One of the most popular menu items at The Glenmore is the chicken schniztel. A juicy, crispy fried chicken breast sits atop a bed of fries and coleslaw. Their fries are so good here. They are thick cut and fluffy on the inside.
If you like chicken schniztel and Japanese flavours, you will love the Teriyaki Katsu Burger. A buttery bun sandwiches their amazing chicken schniztel, coleslaw and teriyaki sauce. Its topped off with a slice of American cheese. This flavour balanced burger was unique and delicious. A must try when at The Glenmore.
The sunset from The Glenmore rooftop was breathtaking.
The sky was showing off.
The sun fully set and it was the moon’s turn. The Glenmore is such a great place to spend an evening when in Sydney. It’s a spot that the locals love. The vibe, atmosphere and food cannot be beat.
