Long Beach Lodge Resort

I have been to Tofino quite a few times now. We haven’t really been back to the same place twice yet. I stayed at Long Beach Lodge Resort recently and I know that I will definitely be back. My husband and I both agreed that it was our most comfortable Tofino stay to date.

The resort is on Cox Bay Beach. It’s very close to downtown Tofino. It took less than 10 minutes to get into town.

We arrived on Valentine’s Day and were greeted with some delicious sweet treats.

The accommodations are lodge style or cabins. There are no one bedroom suites for the lodge rooms. Our deluxe beachfront room was much larger and roomier than I was expecting. The beds were extremely comfortable and some of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The cabins do not have ocean front views but rain forest settings instead. The cottages would be perfect for extended stays or if you wanted to be able to cook meals as they are equipped with kitchens.

The whole suite was very spacious, especially the bathroom. This tub was perfection.

This was the view from our patio off our suite. Unobstructed ocean views. We left the door open one night and slept to the crashing waves. It was so fantastic.

We snapped a picture of a sunset from our room just after a storm had passed through.

We also snapped some pictures of waves from our patio. There really wasn’t much need to leave the place.

The lodge has a popular restaurant on site called the Great Room. It serves all meals of the day and every table in the house has a spectacular view.

Its extra cozy with their wood burning fireplace.

We had dinner in the restaurant one evening. Everything was delicious. We had drinks, Caesar salad, a pizza and fish & chips.

We also enjoyed breakfast in the Great Room. It was very filling and I was so impressed with their house made bread. I enjoyed the whole meal thoroughly.

Just off of Cox Bay Beach, there is a look out point you can go to called Pettinger Point. You can look back to the hotel from here, take in large crashing waves and admire the ocean’s raw power first hand. I really liked that the hotel had heavy duty rain jackets for use in your room.

You can see waves like these and much larger from Pettinger Point.

I had such a lovely time at Long Beach Lodge. It’s proximity to town and its location on the beach make it one of Tofino’s best. Cox Bay is a nice, quiet beach that has hypnotic waves. Its easy to gaze at the ocean for hours from either the beach or your balcony/room. To have such clear ocean front views and easy access was amazing. I would come back to Long Beach Lodge in a heart beat.
