The Blue Fox Cafe in Victoria serves breakfast all day. Victoria has such an amazing brunch culture, I just love it. Restaurants just have one focus and do it really well which is exactly what the Blue Fox is doing. Like many other places in Victoria, its first come first serve. Be prepared to possibly line up outside. The food is more than worth it though.
I really liked the huge windows here. The natural light inside was perfect. Check out this gorgeous wall of artwork.
It was right before Christmas so everything was festive, including the drinks. I tried their special of the day, the Hot Chai Rum Nog. It had eggnog, chai, rum and was topped with lots of whipped cream and a caramel candy. It tasted a Christmas hug. So delicious.
The Club sandwich was like a BLT with a chicken breast added. Sourdough bread is my go to bread choice for sandwiches like this or with breakfast. My husband really enjoyed this.
I don’t come to an all day breakfast spot and not get breakfast. I was having such a tough time deciding on what to order. The menu looked too good. Our server said the Spanish Flying Omelette was a staff favourite. I can see why it was their fave as its the best omelette I have ever had. It had chorizo sausage, potato, onion, garlic and cheese rolled up. It was then topped with house made roasted jalapeño hot sauce and a massive dollop of sour cream. It was much needed to help balance out all the spicy components. The toast came with homemade blackberry rhubarb jam. I asked for more of it, it was so amazing. The breakfast potatoes were some of the best I have ever had. I was full for hours after eating all of this. Dinner was a struggle that evening.
This was the most memorable meal during this Victoria holiday and probably one of the best breakfast/brunch dishes I have had the pleasure of enjoying. It will take me a moment to think about that as my favourite meal is breakfast and I have had a lot of it. The Blue Fox Cafe is one of the best places if Victoria to enjoy the first meal of the day.
