I am such a big fan of authentic wood fire oven pizza. I had heard that Pizzeria Prima Strada was making some of Victoria’s best pizza so I paid them a visit. They have 3 locations throughout the city (Cook St, Bridge St and Fort St.) This post is about their Cook Street location.
This is where the magic happens, in the wood fire oven. Look at that flame! It only takes 90 seconds to cook a pizza.
We started with their meatballs. They were delicious and were seasoned nicely. They were not dry at all.
Their pepperoni pizza is made with pepperoni made in house! It was delicious and flavourful.
I usually get something a little more traditional like the Margherita pizza. I love how chewy the mozzarella gets and I enjoy the acidity from the fresh tomato sauce. The crust was tasty and had the right amount of charring/leoparding.
I left this place in such a food coma. I could not stop eating my pizza. I wish I had space for one of their desserts, like the tiramisu. Sadly, I was not able to try it on this visit. Definitely check out Prima Strada for authentic Neopolitan style pizza in Victoria!
