If you know me, you know that I love going to Vancouver Island. I have fallen in love with the variety of places on the island (city to sleepy towns) and the endless ocean views. I have developed a new found appreciation for Victoria. I recently stayed at the Oswego Hotel right in downtown Victoria.
The hotel’s exterior. They offer secure parking for $15 and complimentary if you arrive in a hybrid vehicle.
We stayed in a one bedroom premium suite, which meant above the 4th or 5th floors. The views from up here were spectacular.
We could see the port from up here and my husband loved seeing all the aerial and water activity. We spotted this war ship on our first day.
When the clouds weren’t in the way, the mountain views were so beautiful.
I took this photo off our suite’s patio one night. I loved the city glow on the sky and the ocean in the distance.
The suite had a full kitchen that was stocked with all essentials. Very convenient.
The bedroom and patio areas.
Thank you for the sweet welcome!
We saw some pretty sunsets from up here.
The hotel also has a spa on site as well as a restaurant that I did not have a chance to check out. The restaurant was closed for renovations when I was here but I have heard good things about it. I really liked the hotel’s location. It was in a quiet area just off one of the main streets in downtown Victoria. We were in walking distance of the Parliament Building and the museum as well as near many popular restaurants. I enjoyed my comfortable stay here and always want to return to see more of this historic island city.
