Nita Lake Lodge is one of my favourite places to stay when in Whistler. Its Whistler’s only waterfront property and I just love staying near water when on holiday. It’s located in the Creekside area of Whistler so its not right in the village. It only takes 5 minutes to drive to the Village so its not far at all. In peak times, the lodge provides a free shuttle service to guests which is very convenient.
Here is the front of the lodge. They have a spa on site. It’s pet friendly. The other side of the lodge is where Nita Lake is and many puppies get walked around this lake.
There were chocolates waiting for us in our suite. What a sweet surprise on arrival!
We stayed in a one bedroom lake view suite.
The beds are very comfortable at Nita Lake. The one bedroom suites do not have a full wall separating sleep quarters from the sitting area. If you are looking for a fully separate bedroom, look into their one bedroom signature suites. I have stayed in it before and its larger, usually a corner suite and has a fully enclosed bedroom. This suite also came equipped with a little kitchenette (mini fridge, microwave & dishware).
The bathroom in this suite is very large. It has a big soaker tub.
The bathroom opens up to the bedroom space to make it feel even larger.
I really like the showers here. They have a large bench seat in them and the shower heads are perfect.
The bathrooms come well stocked with L’Occitane bath products including a face wipe, soaps, lotions and shampoo. So luxurious!
This was the view of Nita Lake from our patio. Incredible. We spent lots of time out here even though it was very cold and it snowed.
When I last stayed at Nita Lake Lodge in 2014, it was cold enough that this whole lake froze over which apparently is a pretty rare thing to happen. We had such a memorable time walking across the lake and watching everything that was going on. There were puppies slipping around, many hockey games happening and it was so magical. I will never forget it. In summer/warmer months, Nita Lake provides free rentals to guests like canoes and bikes.
Fresh snow on the mountains surrounding the lake.
Nita Lake has 3 different dining options. A cafe called Fix that is open til 3pm-ish for breakfast, coffee and lunch. There is also Cure Lounge for drinks and a relaxed place to hang out fire side. Lastly, Aura Restaurant serves all meals in a more private and upscale atmosphere. I had the pleasure of enjoying some of their Winter menu. Pictured above is their winter beet medley. It was beautifully plated on a board with a variety of beets prepared in 6 ways with apples, cheese and micro greens.
The squash soup was like an Autumn hug. This pureed squash soup had a velvety texture and was topped with pumpkin seeds.
The sirloin steaks were served with brussell sprouts, preserved plums and micro greens. It also came with delicious fingerling potatoes (not pictured).
For dessert, the sticky ginger pudding on the left. It came with a salted caramel gelato. The sticky pudding had the right amount of ginger and I really liked its texture. On the right is their creme brulee that came with 2 delicious house made gingersnap cookies.
We were here in December and the lodge was so festive. It was decorated very nicely.
Nita Lake Lodge is a great place for a romantic holiday. Being lakeside adds an extra level of beauty to your Whistler getaway. I always like being in Creekside too because it is quieter than the Village and feels a little more relaxing. When you stay here, you almost don’t have to leave as they have just about everything on site. I always look forward to a stay at Nita Lake Lodge.
