I love starting a weekend with a good brunch. I checked out Glowbal Grill in downtown Vancouver, the flagship restaurant for the Glowbal Restaurant Group.
The restaurant is very stunning and visually appealing. There is lots of marble everywhere which is always so attractive. Glowbal is located in the Telus Garden building on West Georgia Street.
I really liked this gorgeous light fixture in the lounge where we were sitting.
We stayed warm by the fire.
It was a nice surprise to start our brunch with complimentary smoothie shots and fresh doughnuts. The smoothies were blueberry, honey and yogurt. The doughnuts tasted like churros, so good!
A mimosa is a special way to start a weekend breakfast.
Ready to dive into all this delicious food!
The huevos rancheros had very refreshing Mexican flavours. All the condiments, the refried beans, salsa and guacamole, were executed perfectly. The sauce on top of the tortilla was very tasty as well. I liked this dish because I like eating with my hands and this dish encouraged that. I also appreciated its presentation on a large metal platter. It looked very authentic.
The Belgian waffle came with a white chocolate mousse, caramelized bananas and berries. It was very decadent. Waffles are always a good brunch choice.
The wild mushroom omelette was fluffy and flavourful. If you love mushrooms, this omelette is for you. It had a delicious layer of melted cheese in it too. The potatoes were smashed and had a great crunchy exterior. The green salad was light and a nice accompaniment to this egg dish.
I had a lovely brunch at Glowbal. They also serve lunch and dinner. Since the restaurant is so beautiful, its a great place to celebrate a special occasion.
