Elements is known to be one of Whistler’s best spots for brunch. I have been trying to eat here numerous times before but the wait has been quite long and I just didn’t have the patience. I finally lucked out while being in Whistler at an off season time and was able to enjoy their popular brunch menu.
The brunch menu has so many tasty options from very classic to creative. They are open from 8am to 2pm for brunch daily. They do not take reservations and are first come, first serve. The restaurant itself is quite small so I recommend trying to come here on a weekday if you are in town as the wait could be shorter. On the weekends, the wait can be an hour or longer. The restaurant opens again at 5pm to serve a dinner menu.
This is their classic breakfast with Canadian back bacon. Their take on a breakfast potato is a potato tartlet topped with chive sour cream. I really liked it. The bread comes from a local bakery.
This is their cheddar bacon frittata. It was so comforting and tasty. They added little pieces of bread to the egg mixture to give it a French toast feel and then top the frittata with some maple syrup. So good. I love how their peanut butter and jam comes in little serving spoons. The shot glass had a complimentary fruit smoothie in it. It was very refreshing and a nice touch.
Their aged cheddar and tomato eggs benedict had pesto hollandaise on it. I have never seen pesto and hollandaise together before so I had to try it. The pesto brought so much bright flavour to a heavy sauce like hollandaise. The eggs were perfectly poached to my liking. This was such a great dish.
Elements was definitely worth the wait. If there is a wait, there are lots of shops nearby to spend time in. Check them out for some of Whistler’s tastiest and best brunch!
