I had the most amazing brunch at The Pointe Restaurant in the Wickaninnish Inn. The Wick is one of Tofino’s most popular and well known resorts. It’s views are unbeatable and the food is some of the best you will have in Tofino.
The Wickaninnish Inn is located right on Chesterman Beach with some of the most incredible views in Tofino. The day before we visited here, there were epic storms that we experienced from our cabin at Middle Beach Lodge. That’s why there is so much debris washed up on the beach. This is the outcropping of rocks The Wick is located on.
The above three pictures are of the portion of Chesterman Beach right beside The Wick. It was a beautiful day when we went. I was so surprised it was this beautiful with the storm the day before.
When you eat at here, you are in awe of how close you are to the water and how loud the waves are. The Pointe has 270 degree ocean views.
The Pointe has high ceilings and is full of incredible art work. The large fire place in the middle adds so much comfort to this luxe space.
We started with the daily juice offering. Today’s delicious creation was strawberry, raspberry, cranberry and apple. We were so impressed with how good this drink was. It wasn’t icey or too sweet. Definitely get their juice of the day.
The Orchard Apple Stuffed French Toast was some of the best French Toast I have ever tried. The battered Brioche bread was stuffed with caramelized apples. I especially loved the addition of toasted hazelnuts and continued sweetness with the maple syrup. We added a side of crispy bacon.
The Pointe Breakfast came with house made sausage links or bacon and bread. I choose sourdough and it was amazing. The sausages were so delicious. I loved the seasoning in them and they weren’t too fatty. The eggs were done to my liking, over easy. I liked the little salad on the side and the greens went so well with the eggs. The potato rosti was so unique and tasty. They deep fried a creamy potato patty and topped it with a tomato jam. I got a side of fruit jam to go with my bread and it was amazing too.
I had such an unforgettable brunch here. Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and they really knocked it out of the park. They put so much care and effort into their cuisine. The flavours and level of quality they achieve are amazing. Tofino may not be huge but the places they do have, like The Pointe, are world famous for a reason.
