Purebread is one of my favourite bakeries in BC. They originated out of Whistler and have 2 locations there. One is in the main village and this location which is in Function Junction. Its an industrial area just off the highway and railway tracks on your way up to Whistler (if you are coming from Vancouver).
Purebread is known for having amazing selection and variety. How does one choose?? They have bars, brownies, slices of cakes, tarts, scones and muffins. They are creative as well and add things like goat cheese to a brownie or make a delicious savoury muffin.
They bake their own breads that are very popular.
They know how to maximize their space here. They have a stand set up to showcase pies, cakes and bars.
The lights have large whisks covering them. Its such a cute touch.
You can purchase prepackaged cookies or treats. They also make their own granola here (not pictured).
After much deliberation, I finally decided on a chocolate chip cookie, a spinach and feta muffin and bacon and chive scone. Everything was delicious and made with love. I came here before doing the Peak to Peak Gondola so I didn’t have a chance to take more goodies away with me.
If you fall in love with Purebread on your Whistler holiday like me, you can still get your fix at their Gastown location in Vancouver. I like the Function Junction location because its a little quieter than the main village location. The one in the village can get extremely busy. The selection at both is very similar. Purebread is one of my mandatory stops on any Whistler getaway.
