Pasta Lupino is a laid back, Italian eatery in the heart of Whistler. Since Whistler is a tourist attraction, it can be hard to find a place to eat at that is both budget friendly and quality. That’s not the case at Pasta Lupino. Their prices are very reasonable considering they hand craft many of their menu items in house (pasta, breads and sauces).
Look for this sign in the Village when you are finding them. They are tucked away a little bit. They are open for lunch and dinner.
Your meal starts with a basket of homemade focaccia bread served with oil and vinegar.
We did the choose your own pasta & sauce option. This is their linguini with alfredo sauce and chicken breast added on. The sauce was very creamy and flavourful. The pasta was cooked just right and was not soggy at all. It still had a little bite to it as it should. For only $6.95 (over the lunch hour and without the chicken added), this is a steal!
I tried their spaghetti with bolognese sauce. The sauce had 3 different meats in it (ground veal, pork and beef). It had a great consistency and texture as some of the vegetables in the sauce were left a little chunky. There was a really nice heat and earthiness to this sauce too. Again, the pasta was cooked perfectly.
If you really enjoy their pastas here, you can take away their fresh made pasta and sauces to enjoy later. This is another way to eat well in Whistler without breaking the bank. You get them to do all the hard work so you just have to cook and eat. This is such a great idea.
Our grand total to eat 2 fresh pasta dishes and one bottled drink was approximately $22 (chicken was added to the alfredo dish, would have been cheaper without it). That is an incredible price for such quality in this tourist town. Make sure to stop at Pasta Lupino on your next Whistler trip for fresh Italian creations.
