The Oak Bay Beach Hotel is among beautiful beaches and bays. While I was on adventures in the Oak Bay area, I had a chance to see lots of wildlife, usually while I was on my way to eat some great food.
The Village restaurant has been featured on You Gotta Eat Here. It’s a bustling spot.
I loved seeing this little write up on their menu.
The Village Hash had the most incredible breakfast potatoes. They had a great seasoning to them and had loads of ham throughout it. There were 2 eggs on top. Vancouver Island knows breakfast.
The Village is known for their eggs benedict. I chose the Red Barn variation, one of their most popular. Your benny comes on potato latkes or a bagel. I got the latkes and loved it. My sister in law got her benny with a bagel and said it was soft and delicious. The hollandaise sauce was perfectly smooth and not too heavy. My eggs were poached to my liking and were oozing golden yolks when I cut into them.
Their BLT came with a delicious side of pasta salad and an incredible dill pickle. Definitely check out the local favourite, The Village restaurant, when in the Oak Bay area.
Willows Beach is just down the street from The Village restaurant. Its a gorgeous white sand beach, surrounded by gorgeous homes. It was 13 degrees out on this sunny January day.
We walked out to these rocks to admire all of the beach. I couldn’t get over how beautiful and perfect the day was.
My sister in law & I taking in all the beauty.
I spotted this pair of eagles, near out hotel, trying to dry off after a dip in the ocean.
The Oak Bay Beach Hotel is located by the Victoria Golf Course. At the end of the course, there is this beautiful bay and outcropping of rocks called Kitty Islet. It’s complete with adirondack chairs. On a clear day, you can see spectacular mountain views from here.
We spotted a family of sea otters at this bay. There were about 6 or 7 of them. I haven’t seen that many together before.
They effortlessly climbed up on some rocks not too far from us.
We got to watch them as they were watching us.
