Big Feast Bistro is one of Maple Ridge’s hottest restaurants. They were featured on one of my favourite TV shows, You Gotta Eat Here.I have been meaning to get here for a while and I finally had a chance to visit this popular spot.
I had to try their chai tea latte. The foam was heavenly and I made sure I had every last bit of it. It was perfectly sweetened and spiced. I look forward to coming back in the warmer months and trying it iced.
I absolutely love that Big Feast serves breakfast items til 4pm (they are open for all meals). Breakfast is my most favourite meal of the day and I enjoy having it at any time. The green eggs & ham were incredible and packed with flavour. The green colour came from house made pesto scrambled into the eggs. It was topped with goat cheese which added such a creamy, tangy flavour.
Their eggs benny was so fantastic. The honey mustard ham is roasted on site (it was some of the best ham I have ever had). The hollandaise was perfectly smooth and had a bright flavour. The benny was not served on an English muffin but locally made focaccia bread instead. My eggs were softly poached and so fluffy. I really liked their breakfast potatoes. They were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside.
All of their desserts looked so delicious in the case. I wanted to try all of them. The staff were talking about how much they love the peanut butter pie. I need to save space for it on my next visit. Big Feast also sells some of their creations like their sauces, lentil dishes, soups and stews. They also provide catering services.
We brought home their organic peanut butter and pesto. I cannot wait to dive into these. Once again, the staff were raving about the peanut butter so I had to take some home and try it out myself. Always listen to staff recommendations, they are the ones that eat there the most!
You know a restaurant is good when you are already planning what you will eat on your next visit while you are still there and stuffed. Big Feast provided a cozy, farm to table dining experience. I could taste the care they put into their dishes. This is definitely one of my new favourite places. Must eat at Big Feast!
